Star Center Booster Club Meeting Minutes

September 8th, 2011

 

Thanks you to everyone who attended our 1st Booster Club Meeting of the 2011-2012 Season. It was great to see so many of the new team member’s parents. With so many parents involved we look forward to a very successful fundraising season! Also, we’re excited to announce the launch of our NEW Booster Club website:   www.scgboosterclub.com    All information regarding the Booster Club like, Meets, Fundraising, Uniforms, Fees, Forms, News, Calendar and other up to date information will be listed on the site. So please bookmark our new website and visit it often for all your Booster Club questions.

 

Agenda

-          Your son’s USGA Registration Form and $49 registration fee needs to be turned into Charla Clark by no later than Friday September 16th.  If you haven’t done so already please get those forms in asap.

-          All money paid to the Booster Club must now be in the form of a check. Cash will NOT be accepted. Please be sure to put your son’s name and reason for payment in the Memo and leave all checks at the Front desk in the Booster Club money bag.

-          If you are planning on joining the Booster Club, please have your $50 Booster Club Fee turned into the Front Desk by October 1st. Please remember that as a Booster Club Member you will receive your son’s Competition Step-in top, and all the benefits of being involved with the Booster Club.

-          The Cartwheel- A- Thon Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 24th at 8:30am. So please get your friends and family to make a pledge for any dollar amount per cartwheel and on this day your son will complete each cartwheel (up to 100 cartwheels). -          Discount Cards are now available to sale! Each card is to be sold for $10 and all money raised will go to your son’s Season Fees. If you’d like cards to sale Amanda Gonzalez (Zac’s mom) and Nessa Reed (Max’s mom) will be distributing the cards at the gym.

-          The Star Center Invitational is scheduled for January 7-8 2012. This is the Booster Club’s biggest fundraiser which attracts @ 400-500 gymnasts.  We will need all parents help so please save these dates.

-          We are looking to take Team pictures on Monday October 10th, as this is a student holiday from school. Please be on the lookout for further information as we get closer to this date.

-          This year all athletes will be responsible for purchasing their Competition Shorts and Pants (Level 5-10 only). If you are a member of the Booster Club you will be supplied with the Competition Step-in top. All shorts and pants will need to be purchased through Coach Marc.

-          Season Fees have been distributed. You can access these Fees from the Booster website under the Booster Info section.

-          Thank you & Welcome Party hosted by Coach Marc will be on Saturday, September 17th at 6:00pm at the Ridgeview Apartment Clubhouse, 8600 Brodie Ln, Austin Tx 78745. Marc would like to say thanks to all the parents who helped with the Regional Meet, as well as to welcome all the new Team Parents. NO KIDS ALLOWED, Pot Luck & BYOB.
